Important News!

I have some good and important news to report to all.  Here in the geometry classroom, we have been doing some individual work; however, we are now moving on to tougher and tougher problems (as I stated in the previous blog) and I think it is time for change.  That is why, I have decided to incorporate some cooperative learning (partners and groups) into our activities.  We will still be doing some individual work, with notes and foldables and homework, but some in class work will be done in groups.  I hope all of you enjoy this great news, as I am very excited to see how each of the students react and excel.  Remember, to check on the app for our new incoming “Learning Targets” as I just posted them a couple days ago.

Feel free to contact me with any issues. And here is a video of where we are headed.

Good News!

Good afternoon, and I hope you are doing well.  I wanted to brag on our geometry classes for a minute, yes, this is a bragging blog now too.  First, I want to congratulate the students on a great first half of the semester.  Many students have shown so much improvement and done very well.  Secondly, I want commend the parents for helping me get this blog to take off, as well as, the communication I have been able to make with each and every one of you.  For that, WE all have had a great first half of the semester.

Coming up, we will be moving on to tougher and tougher problems.  I know all the students can handle these, but be sure to keep on them at home to continue to work with their online homework.  REMEMBER, if any need assistance, please contact me on the app, or by email and we will get it figured out.

Now, Students come to class and explain this to me, for a couple Extra Credit points! Brain Teaser

Thanks again and enjoy some Pi(e) on me!

Fresh Pi

pi-day-numbers-4-625x476This week was National Pi Day, 3/14/16.  This is a special day here in mathematics, as we participated with “math shirt day”.  Students who wore their math shirt were put in for a drawing to get free food!  Maybe they will even get, pi(e).  The winners are as follows:

John Smith, April May, & Jane Doe.

I was excited for this event because it showed the student’s participation and how much this meant to them.  As always, contact me if you have any questions.  Everything is going well in the Math World of Pi!
